Muriel Tokam
Muriel, the founder of The Job Seeker Hub, is an MSc Banking & Finance graduate at King’s College London and was recognised as a Top 150 UK Black Future Leader (2022–23).
With a passion for nurturing talent and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, Muriel draws on her own journey as an international student navigating the UK job market. Her mission is to empower international and underrepresented students to secure meaningful careers in the UK.
Her professional experience spans venture capital, banking, HR, and higher education. At Cambridge Enterprise, Muriel worked as a Venture Capital Intern, conducting market analysis and supporting investment research in high-growth startups across DeepTech, Life Sciences, social ventures, and sustainability. At HSBC, she gained valuable insight into recruitment and talent management as an HR Summer Analyst. During her time at Loughborough University, she supported over 50 students in securing placements. She observed first-hand the challenges international students face compared to their home peers, a gap that inspired her to launch The Job Seeker Hub.
She has also completed programmes and internships with leading firms, including Aon, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, Bloomberg, Amazon (AWS), and Schroders. These experiences have equipped her with a profound understanding of what employers look for in candidates. Today, she channels that knowledge into helping students and graduates succeed through CV reviews, interview preparation, and personalised career support.
